    It will be observed that the total number*of Zymotic cases admitted into the Hospital was 88, or nearly 6 under the average of previous years, and that the mortality was 3'4 per cent, as against an average of 4-l. Of the Scarlet Fever cases reported in the City, 83 per cent, w'ere removed to the Hospital. The rate of mortality for each disease was considerably less than among the cases of the same disease treated at home ; for example, the mortality among the cases of Scarlet Fever in Hospital was 3d per cent., whereas among the home treated cases it was 54 per cent.
