Poster advertising the Royal American Midgets' performances at the Piccadilly Hall, London, possibly during 1885. They had previously appeared before Queen Victoria. Individually they were known as General Mite (born Francis Joseph Flynn on October 6th 1864, in Greene, New York) and Emily "Millie" Edwards who had married one another in 1884 and were promoted as the smallest people in the world. The poster shows them in formal, evening dress standing on top of a pedestal against which a young man with a drooping moustache wearing a suit is leaning. The poster is printed in black and orange on white paper.
