25 - 26 University College Hospital, certificates of attendance at lectures and of clinical practice. Certificates measure 51 x 34 cm and are headed with an engraving 21 x 6 cm of University College, with a second engraving 12 x 4 cm of the hospital facade, below the inscription. Signatures are those of the relevant academic staff and of the hospital secretary.

Signed by Anthony Carlisle (1768-1840) M.R.C.S., F.R.S. , President; Honoratus Leigh Thomas, (1807-1876) F.R.C.S., and Robert Keate (1777-1857) F.R.C.S., Vice-Presidents; Astley Cooper (1768-41) M.R.C.S. , John P. Pitman (1804-1853) M.R.C.S., F.R.C.P., F.R.S., K.B.E., Registrar. Membrane, 41 x 59 cm, with an engraving 11 x 9cm of the College crest, and with the College seal. Certificate is inscribed on the verso as follows: "No examination has taken place at the College, but the censors have been satisfied that a Degree in Medicine has been obtained at the University of London, after examination. Henry A. Pitman, Registrar."
