Quid Petre Coelestine odii non audeat ignis, / Sed quid non predibus, vel cruce possit amor / Te flammis urgent furiae iam cultor eremi, / Sed cruce sed precibus flamma furorque. Merlen del sc. The word "predibus" appears to be engraved in place of "precibus". A word is missing at the end of the Latin couplets: possibly "sedent". The name Merlen is indistinct
