Description

The man in the centre is assumed to be Charles Stanislas Matifat, the head of the Matifat business in Paris and London. A photograph by Claude-Marie Ferrier of the same stand, showing many of the same exhibits in the same locations, is in the Royal Collection (RCIN 2800066)
