CAETEE MADDEN-MEDLICOTT, M.D., EESIDENT PHYSICIAN AND SUPERINTENDENT. r IIHE Medical Superintendent has the honour to submit JL to the Committee of Visitors, the Twenty-sixth Annual Report. On the 31st December, 1872, the numbers in the Asylum were 237 males; 276 females: total 513. The Admissions during the year have been 101 males; 77 females: total 178. The Discharges during the year have been 65 males; 74 females: total 139;—of these have been discharged Recovered,” 24 males; 42 females. The Deaths during the year have been 35 males; 21 females: total 56. The average population during the year has been 262 males; 289 females : total 551. The numbers in the Asylum this day (31st December, 1873), are 273 males ; 279 females : total 552. It is matter for congratulation that the sanitary condition of the Asylum, and the general health of the patients have
