About this work

Description

This fluorescent micrograph shows stem cells located in a section of mouse colon. The stem cells labeled with green fluorescent protein (GFP) can be observed residing at the base of the colonic crypt, surrounded by numerous goblet cells that secrete mucous (stained in red). Other cells of the colon are observed using DAPI staining, which highlights the cell nucleus in blue.
