Cormorant: any diving bird of the family Phalacrocoracidae esp. Pahalcrocorax carbo, having lustrous black plumage. Ibis: any wading bird of the family Threskiornithdae with a curved bill, long neck, and long legs, and nesting in colonies. Pelican: any large gregarious waterfowl of the family Pelecanidae with a large bill and a pouch in the throat for storing fish
