    Sewage Works and Sewers. No extensions were carried out at the Sewage Disposal Works. As regards sewers, 3,297 yards of foul sewer and 3,086 yards of surface water sewer were laid during the year. Disposal of Refuse. The system of the collection of dry refuse by a contractor was continued. Disposal is by means of controlled tipping on corporation land which is thereby levelled and turned into playing grounds. Sanitary Inspection of the Area. The Chief Sanitary Inspector, Mr. Adcock, has supplied a summary of the work done by the Sanitary Inspectors during the year in the form of Tables to be found at the end of the Report.
