Description
This is a high power microscopic view of an immunostained section of liver from a person with malaria. It shows extensive deposition of immunoglobulin IgM (stained brown) in the sinusoids. Immunostain with antibody to IgM.
Patients with HMS have elevated serum IgM levels. HMS is also known as tropical splenomegaly syndrome (TSS).
