Eight-page manuscript letter (in form of a booklet) to Mr Duchesne of Montreuil, discussing a number of botanical matters including, his current work and future projects, catalogues and publications; requesting Mr Duchesne to collect anecdotes on the 'illustrious authors' on botany of France; enclosing a draft/printed proof of a catalogue of rose trees species entitled 'the natural history of the rose-tree...'; enquiring about strawberries; and supplying answers to Duchesne's remarks in his letter to him, regarding varieties of strawberries.
