A compilation of three titles: 1. 'Barium swallow'; sil., b&w. Slow-motion cineradiography shot side-on showing swallowing motion. 2. 'Signs and measurements of venous congestion' from the department of clinical research, University colleage hospital; sil., b&w. Sir Thomas Lewis's film which features elsewhere in the collection (see 4224D). 3. 'Polar physiology'; sd., col. (BFI logo, intertitle; this film is distributed by the BFI on behalf of the British Universities Film Council). Expanded title on the opening credits; 'The Medical Research Council division of human physiology presents Polar Physiology on the North Greenland expedition 1952-1954'. The video features general shots of building base camp and illuminating shots of a man demonstrating the many layers of clothing which need to be worn, including under garments.
