Notes

Henri Estienne's collection of the most important Greek, Roman and Byzantine medical writers, exclusive of Hippocrates and Galen, through the 13th century. Many of the works are translations into Latin from the original Greek (the Oribasius, for example, translated by Giovanni Battista Rosario, and the Aegineta by Janus Cornarius).
Printer's device with motto "Noli altum sapere" on the first title page; all of the subsequent pt. have divisional half-t.p. only; title to pt. 2 reads: "Oribasii Sardiani medici longè excellentissimi Opera, tribus tomis digesta, Ioanne Baptista Rasario interprete; title to pt. 3 reads; "Aetii medici Graeci contractae ex veteribus medicinae Tetrabiblos, hoc est quaternio, id est libri vniuersales quatuor"; pt. 4 has caption title "Actuarii Zachariae filii De spiritu animali libri duo ..." only; title to pt. 5 reads "Aurelii Cornelii Celsi De re medica libri octo, operis ab eo scripti de artibus, pars sexta."
