    affected with a very fevere venereal com- plaint, for which he had been falivated. He took the fal. plumbi to the extent of a grain and a half* united with four drops of the the- baic tin&ure, every fix hours for a week, with the effect of preventing any return of the bleeding, and without any fenfation of colic. Dr Reynolds concludes with remarking, that it is by no means his, intention to re- commend the indifcriminate ufe of thefe me- dicines, being fully aware of their deliterious qualities: but that his only wilh is to men- tion the manner in which he has ufed them with effect and with fafety. And if the com- bination here ufed be in other cafes attended with limilar fuccefs, it will be of no fmall im- portance in the pra&ice of medicine. Nd X.
