About this work

Description

In the first item on the programme, Italian film director Bernardo Bertolucci discusses the Freudian themes in his work. He puts a large part of this down to his 36 years in psychoanalysis. He has been awarded an honorary fellowship by the Institute of Psychoanalysis which he discusses with Persaud. The second item is about Broadmoor hospital which is undergoing rebuilding works to the tune of two hundred million pounds. Persaud investigates how well such large, high-security institutions operate to house severely disturbed offenders.
