Very rare edition of this famous encyclopedia of the Middle Ages, from a rare French press. Books 5, 6, and 7 are anatomical and medical: Book 5, 66 chapters, Concerning the human body and its members; Book 6, 29 chapters, Concerning the ages [of man] and their characteristics; Book 7, 70 chapters, Concerning the diseases. Especially interesting are the large and very curious woodcuts, several of which are of medical interest, such as a post-mortem examination of a corpse, or dissection. 1495 A.D. | ITALIAN MS.
