    It is thought right to mention, for the information of those benevolent persons disposed to benefit this Charity by any testamentary bequest, that it is incorporated by Act of Parliament, and is empowered to hold (in addition to personal property) land, houses, money on mortgage, and all other real property, to the amount of Twenty Thousand Pounds per annum. Having thus stated the claims of this Society upon public encouragement, the Weekly Board of Governors feel confident that this appeal in behalf of their suffering fellow-creatures will meet with that cordial and liberal support which the increasing number of afflicted poor in the Metropolis imperatively demands; and that the same munificence which has provided an extended accommo- dation for the reception of patients, will be found ready to meet the necessarily increased expenditure.
