Description
Discurso sobre los medios empleados en estos ultimos tiempos, y mayormente en la segunda expedicion del Capitan Cook, para conservar la salud de los marineros, pronunciado en la Sociedad Reale de Londres en 30 de Noviembre de 1776. A note at the foot of the first page by the translator states: 'Haviendo premiado la R. Sociedad de Londres en 1776, una memoria del Capitan Cook esponiendo los medios que empleo para libertar su equipage del Escorbuto, pronuncio Mr. Pringle con este motivo un discurso, cuia traduccion es la siguente'. The original essay, published by the Royal Society in 1776 was entitled: 'A discourse upon some late improvements of the means for preserving the health of mariners'.
