The Calais-Mediterranean (rain de luxe (which for one season ran to San Remo) now stops short at Ventimille ; and San Remo is not reached till 2.7 p.m. Travellers via Turin are advised to break the journey at that city, spending the night there, and going on by 9.25 next morning, reaching San Remo at 4.55 p.m. The Savona line is remarkably picturesque and worth travelling through in the daytime.
