Description

Channel chart, woodcut illustration from Cai ai bianyi (The Mugwort Gatherer's Companion), published in 1805 (10th year of the Jiaqing reign period of the Qing dynasty). In this image, the paths of the three foot yin channels in the inner aspect of the foot and leg are represented by lines on a schematic outline drawing of the lower limb. The middle line corresponds to the liver channel of foot jueyin, shown running upwards from the outside of the big toe along the inner calf; the line towards the back corresponds to the kidney channel of foot shaoyin, shown running upwards from the inside of the big toe along the inner calf.
