About this work

Description

A film about breastfeeding starting with an antenatal clinic in progress with a midwife booking women in (the waiting room has women with a variety of ethnicities and the midwife in attendance is black). Two women receive instruction from a midwife about mothercraft. A woman cleans her hands and the breast area prior to breastfeeding. She moistens her nipples with cream. The midwife tests the woman's breasts; she releases colostrum. The film demonstrates breastfeeding showing women with different sized breasts (the first and longest sequence features a black mother-to-be).
