About this work

Description

This a label which would have been applied to a bottle of the Lotion, probably dating from the early 1900s. It includes directions for use but no details of its manufacturer although there is space at the bottom for the retailer to have their details overprinted. There is a circular panel containing a picture of a smiling young girl with long, dark, ringlets below the name of the product inside decorative borders and blackberry leaf, vine and flower design. We have a larger label (EPH400:12) which may have been for a larger size bottle or a box that contained it.
