The volume contains 118 ll., the imprint being on the reverse of the ‘* Versus xii. Sapientum,”’ followed by “ Liber de Essentia.” Measures 114 X 73 in. 3051 Cicero. This edition without date, place 4nd name of printer, is executed with the types used for the Ausonius and Virgil of 1472. It contains in all 145 Il. including 1 blank (not 143 as Brunet says); having at the end the treatise de Legibus; occupying 31 ll., preceded by a blank one. Printed in Roman letter without marks. Sapientum, et de Fin1Bus Bonorvum et MALORUM, old crimson morocco, gilt edges sm. fol. Paris. 1477 This VERY RARE EDITION is printed in semi-Gothic type without marks, having 34 lines to afull page. It forms 2 out of 3 parts of an edition of the Opera Philoso- phica; wanting the Tusculanz Questiones to complete. The first part contains all the pieces mentioned above except “ de Finibus,” which forms the second part. At the end of the first part we have the following colophon :—* Impressi Parisius in vico sanctt Jacobi, sub intersignio viridis follis prope predicatores. Anno mceccclaavit mensis Augusti.”” Van Praet (quoted by Brunet) shows that the types are those of Cesar and Stoll. The Greek sentences in the Paradoxa are printed in Roman. The first part contains 97 ll.; followed by a blank 1.; the second part has 69 IL., to which there is no imprint. The present is an excellent copy; though the first half-dozen ll. are slightly wormed. Measures 11} X 8 in. 3054 Cicero.
