Lettering

È da credere che sugli "schiavi" del "bagno" il dottor Giovan Cosimo Bonomo (16...-1696) e lo speziale Diacinto Cestoni (1637-1718), celebre naturalista, iniziassero, dopo averne scoperta l'origine parasitiaria (1687), la cura esterna della scabbia. Further lettering within the print: Antico bagno dei forzati edificato da Ferdinando I nel 1662, vi si tenevano i Barbareschi fatti schiavi dalle galee dei Cavalieri di S.to Stefano, i condannati al remo, ed i buonavoglia; fu ridotto in seguito nella maggior parte a spedale ; S. Lunardini copiò da un tocco in penna dell'epoca Bears publisher's number on verso: 15624
