Woodcut showing 11 stages of life, each compared to an aminal. The stages are arranged on a pyramid, with the respective animal beneath the man. The bottom of the pyramid contains a vignette of the devil tempting a couple with drink but they walk away "resist the devil and he shall fly far from you." There appear to have been numerous versions of this published around the world in the mid nineteenth century.
