About this work

Description

Personal protection: insecticide treated blankets This is an Afghan refugee camp in Pakistan. The female inhabitants of the refugee camp are participating in a randomized trial at community level to treat their chaddars (wraps / blankets) with permethrin, in order to study the effect on the incidence of vector-borne diseases. The treatment of the blankets is carried out by trained personnel who live in the refugee camp. See also images W0046153, W0046155, W0046156 and W0046157 showing how the blankets were treated.
