About this work
The institutions of medicine: aphorisms on physiology, probably for the instruction of students. The text is not a repetition of Boerhaave, nor are there any but superficial resemblances to the work of the same title by Whytt's successor at Edinburgh, William Cullen (1710-1790). Incomplete fair copy with minor corrections, paras. 43-169 of a larger work.
mid 18th century
Described in typescript supplements, by Christopher Hilton and Richard Aspin, to the Library's published finding aids.
