Mobility exercise The hand at the top left of the picture is visibly impaired by nerve damage associated with long-standing lepromatous leprosy (LL) and complicated by secondary injury and contracture. The patient is being shown how to passively extend his fingers to prevent further contracture. Note the callus on the palm of the leprosy patient's hand.
