An episode in Tasso, Gerusalemme liberata, Canto XV, stanzas 1-6.The wizard of Ascalon (Ashkelon), who has taken them to Fortune, is seen departing on the left. Fortune gestures to Carlo and Ubaldo to embark. In the background are temples in a landscape based on the Roman Campagna, and a view out to the Mediterranean Sea
