Lead singer with the band Eels, Mark Oliver Everett (known as 'E'), goes on a journey to understand the work and life of his father, Hugh Everett, a brilliant quantum physicist who invented the theory of Parallel Universes. E visits a range of physicists who describe the world of quantum mechanics to him. And we hear about how Everett went from being a young man in his twenties whose theory was thrown out to working for the military and eventually influencing the world of quantum mechanics, sci-fi and fiction with his theory of parallel universes.
