About this work

Description

Susan is a young teenager and an only child. She has longed for a younger sibling. Her parents surprise her with the news that they are expecting a child. This is an opportunity for a narrated explanation of menstruation and the facts of life; all told in a reassuring tone of voice. Reproductive facts are explained via graphical animation. The full gestation and growth of the baby is outlined. Susan is at school when the baby is born; she is allowed to leave early and see the baby and her mother (who has had the baby at home).
