About this work

Description

Powell (left) was Physician in Ordinary to Queen Victoria from 1899, to King Edward VII from 1907, and to King George V, from 1910; President of the Royal College of Physicians, 1905-1910. Reid was Physician in Ordinary to Queen Victoria, 1889-1901, to King Edward VII, 1899-1910, and afterwards to King George V. Powell also acted as physician to Reid. They are here depicted as heads making up the moon
