Description

Manuscript letters concerning the annual meeting of the British Association for the Advancement of Science which was held in Cardiff in 1891; sending a copy of letter from a clerk of Llanwonno School who gives permission for fingerprints of children to be taken because they can trace their family history back for hundreds of years; printed copy of letter about Galton being nominated as President of the British Association; envelope attached. Enclosure: copy of a resolution concerning the sum of twenty pounds to be made available to a group including Galton, Pitt-Rivers, and Flinders Petrie to procure 'racial' photographs from Ancient Egyptian Pictures and Sculptures.
