About this work

Description

A nurse prepares for bathing a sick baby in hospital. An intertitle indicates to make sure the window is closed. Amongst the preparations, the temperature of the bath is tested. A small baby is bathed; her eyes are cleaned with cotton wool swabs (she is swaddled on the nurse's lap). The head is washed with care. Many layers are removed prior to the baby being washed fully. The baby's temperature is taken rectally prior to being weighed. A terry nappy is put on. The baby is dressed. Her hair is brushed. She's put back to bed. The nurse tidies up. The soiled nappy (napkin) is prepared for inspection.
