About this work

Description

Explication de la vision d'ézéchiel, oeuvre de Mercava, ajustée des principes de la philosophie pitagoricienne. Illustrated by marginal pen-drawings of symbolic figures and diagrams. This MS. is by the same hand as that of MS. 3585 [Mithologie], and was probably once part of the same volume, as the inner corner of the first leaf is lettered 'Cayer 13'. It appears to be a translation with commentary, etc. of the 'Mercavae expositio', dated Ragley 1675 on the recto of the last leaf, which was printed in Vol. I, Part 2 of Knorr von Rosenroth's 'Kabbala denudata', Sulzback, 1677. The date of the writing of this MS. seems to be 1777, as given in the margin of the same leaf.
