About this work

Description

1st Eastern General Hospital was established in Trinity College Cambridge in September 1914. Beds were placed around the cloisters of Neville's Court in a temporary arrangement. Later a large hut hospital was built on the football pitches situated where Cambridge University Library now stands (exhibition in Cambridge City Libraries, 1999)
