About this work

Description

Yellow rump (Parus uropygeo luteo), a bird native to Virginia which runs about the bodies of trees and feeds on insects which it pecks from the crevices of the bark. It is seen with lilly-leafed hellebore (Helleborine lily folio) and dog's bane (Apocynum scandens).
