The following is an interim description which may change when detailed cataloguing takes place in future:

Archives generated by the work and activities, particularly abroad, of the London Support Office of the International Community of Women Living with HIV/AIDS. The collection notably contains: papers relating to organisation and running of the London office including personnel matters, finance, procedures, membership and contacts; minutes and papers of the ICW Board of Trustees; reports from international representatives ('key contacts'); monitoring and evaluation papers and reports; strategic planning papers notably one box of completed questionnaires relating to the ICW strategic plan 2009; papers of the ICW Committee and other committees; correspondence (including emails), papers relating to the ICW 'Voices and Choices' project; correspondence with offices overseas in Africa, Latin America, Caribbean, Asia and Europe; newsletters notably ICW News; ICW publications and publicity material in various languages notably English and Spanish, such as posters, leaflets, banners, t-shirts and tabards; photographs and transparencies including some disposable cameras and framed or mounted photographs; CDs and some videos; papers relating to the formation and history of the ICW; postcards sent to London from members abroad or travelling abroad on ICW business; papers generated by various international conferences particularly the International AIDS Conference and International Conference on People Living with AIDS/HIV as well as International Pre-Conference of Women Living with HIV/AIDS; post-conference impact assessments; speeches and articles by ICW members.

Uncatalogued: 21 transfer boxes, 2887 digital files, 6 objects, 10 CDs, 3 VHS, 2 DVDs, 1 audio cassette and 1 roll of posters

The ICW was established in 1992. In 2009 the UK Trustees of the took the decision to wind down the International Support Office in the UK. This followed considerable disagreement within the governance bodies and staff group over the future direction of the charity. The London office closed in December 2009.
