Bible. O.T. Genesis 14.18-19. Melchizedek rewards Abraham for his role in the tribal war portrayed in chapter 14 of Genesis: after being defeated in the battle of Siddim, Abram's retaliation (in order to rescue his captured brother, Lot) saves the day for Sodom and Gomorrah
