    School Health Services School medical inspections are carried out periodically by Assistant County Medical Officers and Health Visitors, Special Clinics are held in the County Council Health Centre, Hillcroft, New Street, Lymington. Immunisation against Diphtheria, Whooping Cough, Tetanus and Poliomyelitis Immunisation is carried out by family doctors and at Child Health Clinics and schools. Most of the primary immunisation is organised and the records maintained through the agency of the County computer. Parental consents are obtained in the first place by Health Visitors and thereafter the computer selects children due for each stage of immunisation at the appropriate time, prints an appointment post card and prepares a nominal list for the relevant doctor. Further invitations are sent for missed appointments and completed records are fed back into the computer where they are stored for reference if required. Booster doses at around school entry have up to now largely been organised by your Medical Officer of Health but this too will increas¬ ingly come under computer control. Booster doses against Tetanus and Poliomyelitis are now offered to school leavers.
