About this work

Description

Slow muscle fibres form the surface layers of muscle fibres in the zebrafish myotomes. Slow fibres are stained blue and their nuclei red. Slow fibres contract slowly but can keep going for a long time. In contrast, fast fibres contract quickly but also tire quickly.
