![1] (1) As to the course of study, and (2) As to the examinations, to be gone through in order to obtain dental qualifications entitling to registration ; and 7 (8) Generally as to the requisites for obtaining such quali- fications. 20. The section further provides that any member or members of the Council, or any person or persons deputed for the purpose by the Council (or by any of the Branch Councils, whose con- stitution is described in paragraph 9 (3) of this memorandum) may attend and be present at any examinations required to be gone through in order to obtain dental qualifications. 21. If it appears to the Council that the course of study and examinations to be gone through in order to obtain any dental qualification are not such as to secure the possession by persons obtaining the qualification of the requisite knowledge and skill for the efficient practice of dentistry or dental surgery, the Council may make a representation to this effect to the Privy Council. 22. The Privy Council may, if they see fit, order, upon any such representation from the Council, that a dental qualification granted by a Licensing Body after such time as may be mentioned in the order shall not confer any right to be registered under the Act, until the order is revoked by the Privy Council when it is made to appear to them, by further representation from the Council or otherwise, that the Body affected has made effectual provision, to the satisfaction of the Council, for the improvement of the course of study or examination in question. 23. It is further provided by section 26 of the Act that if it appears to the Council that an attempt has been made by any Dental Licensing Body to impose on any candidate offering him- self for examination an obligation to adopt or to refrain from adopting the practice of any particular theory of dentistry or dental surgery as a test or condition of admitting him to ex- amination, or granting a qualification, the Council may represent the matter to the Privy Council, and the Privy Council may](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b32174330_0025.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
