About this work

Description

One of several designs for press advertisements used by the Health Education Authority from September to November 1992 aimed specifically at gay men in the gay press. The advertisements promote safer sex and better use of condoms and lubricants in the fight against AIDS and HIV. Details of the National AIDS Helpline, Terrence Higgins Trust and the London Lesbian and Gay Switchboard are given. This one shows an image of a condom being stretched between 2 hands and advises extra strong condoms for anal sex with a water based lubricant.
