    5. The admission granted in the first instance is for a period not exceeding six weeks, which, on the recommendation of the Medical Officer, or at the discretion of the Com¬ mittee, may be extended for a period not exceeding six weeks more. In special cases a still further extension may from time to time be granted, but always for periods not exceeding six weeks. Further, should a case be admitted for an opinion,” it must be understood that the patient cannot continue in the Hospital unless the Medical Officer considers it necessary, and so reports to the Committee. 6.
