About this work
Description
Notes for lectures on scrofula, diseases of the eye and chest [Incomplete]. This MS. consists of notes, perhaps holograph, with a general title 'Diseases of the blood. Continued'. This begins with remarks on 'Scrofula. Exercise the twenty-sixth[ -twenty-ninth]' (ff. 1-29). Following these are 'Special Diseases.' 'Ophthalmia' (ff. 30-138), 'Diseases of the Chest' (ff. 139-200). Ff. 1-21 versos contain 'Readings on Scrofula', apparently written somewhat later. It is possible that these notes were written for lectures at the Grosvenor School of Medicine, 1854-56 [see the Dictionary of National Biography]. Produced in London.
