Library-stamp on the title-page and on fol. 1 of the 'East Kent and Canterbury Medical Library' and a press-mark 'A 4' inside the upper cover. Below this is inscribed: 'East Kent and Canterbury Medical Library. Presented by Mr. James Reid 1853'. James Reid was a student at St. Bartholomew's and after qualifying practised first at Dover, and from 1846 to his death at Canterbury [cf. Lancet 1911. ii p. 925].
