About this work

Description

Correspondence, memoranda and other papers relating to the NSF's name change (to Rethink) and court case brought by Dorothy Silberston. In 1999 the NSF reviewed its corporate image and identity as a key priority to clarify is target audiences and its role in the field of mental health. The reasoning was that there was no uniform corporate image embracing all parts of the organisation and that this lead to many lost opportunities for profile, influence and funds. Includes Dorothy Silberston's correspodence and annotations on various corporate image update documents. Includes summaries of positive and negative views on the name 'NSF'. These files comprise a detailed discussion on the history of the organisation and its aims, ethos and activities at a time when change was proposed.
