Description
Ibrahim Pasha, an Ottoman Pasha of Egypt, attempted an attack on the Ottoman Sultan Mahmut II, by the command of his father (Muhammad Ali, the Wāli of Egypt and Sudan). He occupied Adana between 1832 and 1840, and even reached Istanbul after occupying the cities on his way. The Sultan defeated the attack with help of Russians. The engraving shows Ibrahim Pasha's camp near the Seyhan River. Tas Kopru (Stone Bridge) is seen in the distance
