Reproduction note

After a painting by Van Dyck "Brought from Spain by Mr Bagnols and purchased by Frederick, Prince of Wales before September 1747" (Royal Collection website). Frederick died in 1751, after which the painting passed to his widow Princess Augusta (d. 1772)
