About this work
Description
A fascinating film made about people who have decided to donate their bodies to science and dissection at the Otago Medical School in New Zealand, one of the last medical schools in the world to still use human dissection in the training of medical students. Here the donors, George, Ian and Roma discuss their decision and we see their bodies, after death, being prepared and then dissected. These interviews are interwoven with the views of medical students involved for the first time with seeing dead bodies and learning about dissection. They talk frankly about their feelings. Includes detailed footage of dissection and cadavers.
